Algonquin College offers shuttles for students, too

Further to an update regarding student shuttles at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University which we posted yesterday, Algonquin College has also organized a shuttle, as well as a ride-sharing board, to help their students get to campus during the OC Transpo strike.

Bob LeDrew, Director of Communications for the Public Relations Office at Algonquin College, contacted Public Transit in Ottawa today to inform us of the service that is being offered. The Algonquin College Students Association (ACSA) hosts a ride board on their web site, where students can contact other students who've posted offers to carpool into campus at certain times.

In the event the ride board is insufficient, however, Algonquin does have shuttles running from Kanata and downtown, Orléans and downtown, Nepean, and South Keys into campus. Their shuttles are beginning service on Friday, January 9, and will run Monday to Friday.
