The Public Transit in Ottawa portal will initially be an exploration of news, notes, and comments about Ottawa's public transit system. The intent of PTIO is not necessarily to provide recommendations to city planners, but rather to offer some analysis of the issues and highlight key areas that require further reflection and discourse. Hopefully, over time, it will help Ottawans become engaged and involved in the decision-making process municipally.
Above the website, Public Transit in Ottawa has also published a community-reviewed journal, the Journal of Public Transit in Ottawa. A 44-page publication written with a scholarly tone, spanning a variety of many different subjects, JPTO is available for download below.
