The City of Ottawa is set to receive $17.9M in provincial funding to help pay for OC Transpo's new hybrid buses under a provincial bus replacement program known as the Ontario Bus Replacement Program (and may I be the first to say it's a terrifically-named program). The hybrid buses are part of OC Transpo's fleet updates and modernization.

Metro:
Ottawa is getting $17.9 million from the province's Ontario Bus Replacement Program, Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Jim Watson announced Thursday.
That should help pay for around 68 new Orion VII hybrid buses, with the city and the federal governments also contributing one third each to the total.
